We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who can step in as needed to support our custodial team, take initiative, work well with others, and help maintain a clean, safe, and positive environment for learning and growth.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial experience a plus
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to push, pull, move, lift, carry, and transfer items up to 50 lbs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to short-notice assignments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Grass cutting and snow removal
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting classrooms, offices, hallways, and restrooms
- Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal
- Set up and break down furniture or equipment for school events or meetings
- Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate staff
- Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly
- Respond to urgent cleaning needs or spills in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working around students and staff
- Support the custodial team during staff absences or peak service times
