Dauphin County Technical School is seeking a certified and compassionate School Psychologist to serve students in grades 9 through 12. This full-time position plays a vital role in evaluating student needs, supporting emotional wellness, and collaborating with staff to implement strategies that help students succeed both academically and personally.
The School Psychologist will conduct psychological, educational, and instructional evaluations and serve as a key support for the Special Education and School Counseling teams. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in areas of mental health, social-emotional learning, and student behavior, and will bring strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania School Psychologist certification (PK–12)
Experience working with high school-aged students (preferred)
Familiarity with IDEA and Section 504 guidelines
Strong skills in assessment, consultation, and collaboration
Commitment to student-centered, inclusive practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct and interpret psychoeducational evaluations
Provide input for IEP development and re-evaluations
Offer consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding student needs
Support mental health initiatives and connect students with appropriate services
Serve as a resource for developing strategies that enhance academic and social-emotional growth
