Dauphin County Technical School is a dynamic Career and Technical Education (CTE) school dedicated to preparing students for success in college, careers, and life. Our programs combine academic rigor with hands-on, real-world learning in areas such as health sciences, information technology, automotive technology, culinary arts, construction trades, and more.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a school, vocational, or technical training setting preferred
- Must demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to support diverse learners with patience and flexibility
- Familiarity with CTE fields or willingness to learn technical content
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support students in classroom, lab, and/or shop settings under teacher direction
- Provide one-on-one or small group academic and skill-based assistance
- Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and student supervision
- Support students with IEPs, 504s, or other special education needs
- Promote workplace readiness skills, safety, and professional conduct
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and specialists to meet individual student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures
