Department Overview

The math department at Dauphin county Technical School has developed a set of courses that prepare students to think and reason mathematically with the skills needed to be both career and college-ready. Courses offered by the math department include: Algebra 1, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Financial Algebra, College in the High School, and AP Calculus. Students are required to successfully complete four math courses in order to be eligible to graduate.

Math Department Mission Statement

The Dauphin County Technical School Mathematics department will teach students perseverance through rigorous and relevant course offerings. These courses will include real world practical problem-solving skills and opportunities for student communication. Teachers will collaborate to ensure these courses are cohesive and meet the needs of students so that they are prepared to enter post-secondary education and industry.
