Our mission and vision for dcts
At Dauphin County Technical School, our mission is simple yet powerful: to prepare every student for success in both career and life through rigorous academics, hands-on career and technical training, and the development of strong character.
As the Administrative Director, I have the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team of educators, support staff, and industry partners who are deeply committed to helping students achieve their fullest potential.
Together, we aim to cultivate a learning environment grounded in work ethic, leadership, teamwork, respect, and pride – our Five Keys to Success. These core values guide every aspect of what we do and who we are.
Our goals are forward-thinking and student-focused:
- To provide real-world learning experiences that connect classroom instruction to high-demand careers.
- To ensure all students earn industry-recognized certifications and credentials that open doors to employment and post-secondary education.
- To foster a school culture of accountability, inclusivity, and professionalism, where students are empowered to take ownership of their learning and behavior.
- To expand opportunities through partnerships, innovation, and continued investment in high-quality programs and facilities.
DCTS is more than a school; it’s a launchpad. Whether our students choose to enter the workforce, the military, or further their education, we are committed to ensuring they leave us prepared, confident, and proud of who they’ve become.
Thank you for supporting our mission and being part of the DCTS community. Together, we are shaping the future—one student at a time.
