Counselors visited program areas between February 23rd and March 6. Students were presented with the course selection sheets for next school year and walked through the scheduling process.
Signed scheduling sheets should be returned to the counseling office by March 13th. Counselors will return to programs at the end of March to assist with inputting the selected courses into PowerSchool. Scheduling sheets need to be signed by a parent/guardian and all core subject area teachers. IEP students also need to have a case manager signature.
Students should come to the counseling office if they were absent during the program visits to get a scheduling sheet. If you have any questions, you should email your counselor to schedule an appointment.
NEW FOR NEXT YEAR (2026-2027 SY): PowerSchool Forms
Senior Privilege and Dual Enrollment/College in the High School Contracts should be completed in PowerSchool. Students will be reminded that in order to receive senior privilege or be enrolled in DE/CHS classes, they must complete the associated forms in PowerSchool. Please see the link above with step by step instructions.
For questions about Dual Enrollment/College in the High School, please refer to our DE/CHS webpage, or contact your student’s school counselor.
What is Senior Privilege?
Senior privilege is the opportunity for seniors to arrive to school late or leave early on their academic days (B day). If a student has a program day study hall during 1st or 5th period, they are also permitted to leave early or arrive late.
Requirements:
- Parent Permission
- Consistent and Reliable Transportation
- Student has Valid PA Driver’s License and a personal vehicle
- Parent will drive student to or from school in accordance with scheduled classes
- Passing ALL Classes
If a student is failing any class (academic or program) their senior privilege will be revoked at the beginning of the second semester for the remainder of the year.
Senior Privilege is an all or nothing opportunity. Students may not remain in the building or arrive early on days of their choosing. If they are only scheduled for two academic classes, they may not stay past that. If a student can only secure transportation at a certain time or wants to have a study hall added to their schedule, they may request that from their counselor, and the study hall will be added.
If you have questions about senior privilege, please contact your student’s school counselor.
