Job Position/Title: Tram Operator

Pay range scale: $12 per hour

Job Description:

The Tram Operator is responsible for driving Park guests in large utility vehicles to tram stops throughout the parking lot. Tram Operators are also responsible for the safety of guests who are passengers on the tram and pedestrians in their driving zone.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Safely operate the tram shuttle transporting guests to their destination*

Assist guests at tram stops with loading and unloading including wheelchairs and strollers*

Effectively communicate information about the park via PA system*

Control traffic as needed in tram areas*

Provide a safe and friendly atmosphere to guests and team members

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applying

Must have a valid driver’s license

Required to complete pre-employment drug testing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be comfortable in operating a large vehicle to transport guests

Must be comfortable using public address systems and/or engaging in public speaking

Must work well with other employees and be able to interact well with guests

Must be able to work with large crowds in a fast-paced environment

Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills

Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines

Job Demands:

Must have the ability to raise leg 37 inches to get onto the Rear Attendant platform and into the driver’s seat

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors.

Physical requirements include prolonged standing, bending, sitting, and walking

Must be able to repeatedly lift approximately 50 pounds unassisted
