DCTS offers mainly two levels of service to students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP): Itinerant and Supplemental. This identification basically correlates with the percentage of time each day the students spend in the regular education environment with their non-disabled peers. Students in grades nine through eleven spend three periods a day and seniors spend four periods a day in their career tech areas. Itinerant students spend eighty percent or more of their day inside the regular classroom and Supplemental students spend forty to seventy-nine percent of their day in the regular classroom. Full-time services are not an option in our building due to the number of periods each day students must spend in their vocational areas.
