Home Dauphin County Technical School is a full-time, comprehensive public career and technical high school serving 11 high schools in the Central Dauphin, Derry Township, Halifax Area, Harrisburg, Lower Dauphin, Middletown Area, Millersburg Area, Steelton-Highspire, Susquehanna Township, and Upper Dauphin School Districts. At DCTech, we believe in educating the whole student by focusing on both the student’s academic and career preparation. DCTS is proud to offer 25 programs of study in the schools of :-Construction & Manufacturing -Visual Arts & Information Technology -Health Sciences & Public Services -TransportationIn addition to a career and technical education (CTE), students at Dauphin County Technical School take their academic classes. We offer both Advanced Placement (AP) and College in the High School dual-enrollment programs through Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC).DCTS is proud to offer 16 Adult Education courses to adults seeking to learn new skills in order to improve their lives at home, in jobs, or through personal growth and enrichment. Evening classes are available to those who work during the day. Genuine Acts of Kindness Highlight: Genuine Acts of Kindness (simply doing the right thing without being told), creates a positive school climate by highlighting the importance of treating one another and property with respect. Examples of Genuine Acts of Kindness observed included helping a visually impaired classmate with activities during program rotations, helping a new student find their class by walking them to their class, turning in a lost item to the office, straightening out desks and chairs for a teacher at the end of a class period, and cleaning up after other students in the cafeteria.. The following student was recognized with a certificate by DCTS administration for his genuine act of kindness: David Odubo. Safe2Say Something Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late.
