Genuine Acts of Kindness Highlight:

Genuine Acts of Kindness (simply doing the right thing without being told), creates a positive school climate by highlighting the importance of treating one another and property with respect.  Examples of Genuine Acts of Kindness observed included helping a visually impaired classmate with activities during program rotations, helping a new student find their class by walking them to their class, turning in a lost item to the office, straightening out desks and chairs for a teacher at the end of a class period, and cleaning up after other students in the cafeteria..

The following student was recognized with a certificate by DCTS administration for his genuine act of kindness: David Odubo.

Safe2Say Something

Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late.
