Guidance

 

As your son/daughter's school counselors, we will be meeting with your child at various times throughout their career at Dauphin County Technical School.  During these meetings, we will discuss his/her progress and future plans beyond graduation.  Students are welcome to meet with one of us by scheduling an appointment.

Career Counselor

The Career Counselor serves as a sending school liaison and representative of DCTS in promoting the Dauphin County Technical School. Mrs. Noll assists students in transition; including incoming students, as well those who are graduating, in personal/social, academic, and career-related realms. Specific focuses include: truancy elimination planning and counseling, recruiting and presenting information to potential students and parents, academic and behavioral monitoring of students who are new to DCTS, active member of the student assistance and crisis response team.

Social Worker

The DCTS school social worker collaborates with school counselors, administrators, student services, academic and CTE teachers, students, and families. The social worker to identifies and addresses barriers to success, through resource integration and supportive services. The social worker is the assigned McKinney-Vento liaison, the foster care point of contact, and addresses student attendance concerns. The social worker also provides crisis response and assessment, as well as brief supportive counseling. Additionally, social worker oversees the Wolverines ROCK (Resources Opportunities and Connections for Kids).
