NURSE AIDE TRAINING COMPETENCY AND EVALUATION PROGRAM
APPROVED BY THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
TO PREPARE FOR THE STATE EXAMINATION
FOR EMPLOYMENT AS A CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE

PROGRAM SUMMARY

This 121 hour training program prepares students for the PA Nurse Aide Competency Examination as administered by the American Red Cross. It includes 76.5 hours of theory and laboratory training and 44.5 clinical hours in a long-term care facility. It is an intense training program and requires physical and mental stamina. Students who successfully pass the training and State Examination are placed on the PA Nurse Aide Registry and are designated as a CNA – Certified Nurse Aide. The cost of the program is $895.

  • Physical Examination
  • 2-Step PPD
  • Five Panel Drug Screening
  • PA State Police Criminal History check
  • FBI check (If PA residency is less than two years)
  • PA Department of Education Verification of Pennsylvania Residency and Attestation of Compliance with Act 14
